Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 July 2026
These Terms govern your use of PlaneEcho. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use PlaneEcho.
1. The service
PlaneEcho is a personalized aviation tracking service that monitors public ADS-B data for a location you configure and sends you alerts. Aircraft data is sourced from public feeds and is provided as-is. It is for informational and hobbyist use only and must not be relied upon for navigation, safety-of-life, or operational decisions.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not abuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service.
- Do not use the service to harass, surveil individuals, or for any unlawful purpose.
- Do not attempt to circumvent plan limits, billing, or access other users’ data.
- You are responsible for content (e.g. photos) you upload and must have the right to upload it.
4. Plans, billing & cancellation
PlaneEcho offers a free tier and paid subscriptions. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis via Stripe until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change pricing with notice; changes apply to subsequent billing periods.
5. Free tier limits
The free tier includes usage limits (for example, on daily sightings and alert rules). We may adjust these limits over time.
6. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Upstream ADS-B feeds may be incomplete, delayed, or unavailable, and coverage varies by area.
7. Intellectual property
PlaneEcho and its software are owned by us. You retain ownership of content you upload and grant us a limited licence to store and process it to provide the service.
8. Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any reliance on aircraft data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using PlaneEcho and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your own country of residence.
